The hearing of the appeal of the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) at the Abuja Federal Court of Appeal has been stalled on Thursday.The court was unable to sit on the matter as a result of the ill health of Dr. Saraki’s counsel, Mr Kanu Agabi.
The trial was on wednesday stalled due to the
absence of the prosecution’s chief witness, Mr Michael Wetkas, who was testifying in another case.
The Senate President is being tried at the tribunal for alleged false declaration of assets while serving as the Governor of Kwara State.

Health Ministry on Tuesday said the number of HIV infection cases in
Russia's Far East Sakhalin region has almost doubled in 2015.
“Compared to 2014, the HIV infection rate in 2015 increased from 26.9 up to 46.3 per 100,000 people.
“The official number of HIV/AIDS carriers in the Sakhalin region has grown to 1,051 since 1993,’’ the statement said.
According to statistics, 164 HIV infected people there have died, while AIDS has killed 44 people, currently, 603 infected people are registered in Sakhalin's dispensaries.
A report by the Russian Federal AIDS Centre issued in 2014 said about 0.5 per cent of the Russian population was officially registered as HIV-positive in 2014.
It said that the Sakhalin region would hold a campaign on May 20 to stop the spread of HIV and AIDS.
